SWR-360 - Diversity, Rights, & Justice

Semester Credits: 3 Weeks: 8

The course examines the dynamics of diversity, equity, and inclusion with the focus on the consequences of privilege, power, oppression, and discrimination for populations who are marginalized. Building on standard models of multicultural competence that emphasize knowledge, awareness, and skills, students will be introduced to micro, mezzo and macro perspectives that emphasize anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and equity-focused paradigms.
