SWR-365 - HBSE I

This course examines biological, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural facets of human development across the lifespan from conception through death. Traditional and alternative theories for understanding human behavior as well as the pressure racism and oppression exert on human behavior will be examined. Framed from a systems perspective, these paradigms contribute to understanding the reciprocal relationship between human behavior and the social environment emphasizing implications for human rights and social justice.
