SWR-490 - Social Work Practicum IIa

Semester Credits: 3 Weeks: 12

This course includes a 150-hour field experience and an integrative seminar that build on the beginning-level knowledge and skills gained in Social Work Practicum I. In this educationally-directed field practicum, students put into practice the social work competencies introduced and demonstrated in their coursework and first practicum. This experience offers students the opportunity to continue developing their professional identities as anti-oppressive social work practitioners. The integrative seminar is a once-weekly virtual meeting with a faculty member and other students who are also in their second field practicum which is focused on putting social work knowledge, skills, and values into practice.
