SWR-491 - Social Work Practicum IIb

Semester Credits: 3 Weeks: 12

A continuation of Social Work Practicum IIa, this course includes a 150-hour field experience and an integrative seminar that build on the knowledge and skills demonstrated in prior practica. In this educationally-directed field practicum, students put into practice the social work competencies introduced and demonstrated in their coursework and previous practica. This experience offers students the opportunity to continue developing their professional identities as anti-oppressive social work practitioners. The integrative seminar is a once-weekly virtual meeting with a faculty member and other students who are also in their second field practicum which is focused on mastering social work knowledge, skills, and values.
