SAP Maximum Time to Completion

Graduate students who are within six months of reaching the SAP maximum time limits stated below and need more time to complete his/her degree program may file a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal by following the procedures given in the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy. Maximum Time Frame extensions are determined on a case-by-case basis.

For undergraduate programs, the Maximum Time Frame to complete a program cannot exceed 150% of the published length of the students’ active program and is measured in credit hours. For example, if an undergraduate program consists of 120 credit hours, the student must successfully complete the program after attempting no more than 180 credit hours.
