MSA-5001 - Financial Accounting

Semester Credits: 3 Weeks: 8

Using the GAAP and IFRS standards underlying accounting practice, you will complete transaction entries, and prepare and create financial statements. Financial accountants leverage the connections between elements of the principal financial statements to inform business decision-making. Concepts studied include revenue recognition, present value, inventory, and long-term assets and liabilities. In this course, you will utilize the information in financial statements to evaluate the health of a business, prepare forecasts, and determine the value of projects and investment opportunities to help leaders and managers make strategic decisions.
